English Programs for Adults

 

Brookline Housing Authority offers FREE English classes for low-income families.  Classes are available morning and night.  Bilingual staff are available to assist in a variety of languages including French, Mandarin, Russian, and Spanish.  For more details, please contact Danielle Mendola, the ESOL director, at dmendola@brooklinehousing.org or visit http://brooklineesol.weebly.com/ 

The ELL department of the Public Schools of Brookline offers free weekly conversation classes.  For more details or to register, please email Sejin Choi at sejin_choi@psbma.org.  Please check our blog regularly for announcements and updates at http://brooklineell.tistory.com/.

Brookline Adult & Community Education offers more than 20 different kinds of ESL classes.  They have classes from entry level to advanced level.  Private session is also available upon request (e.g., job interview/meeting skills, tutoring, etc.).  Fee is required for these classes.  You can sign up online or call 617-730-2700.  For more details, please visit http://www.brooklineadulted.org/. 

The Public Library of Brookline offers FREE conversation classes at all three branches.  Please call the library for staring date.  Please see below for contact information.

Main Library: Tuesdays, 7:00-8:30pm starting September 13.

Coolidge Corner Library: Thursdays, 10:30 am-12:00 pm starting in September, date to be announced.

Putterham Library: Thursdays, 10:30am-12:00pm starting in September, date to be announced.
