“What Your Kids Know about American Culture that You Don’t”
Friday, March 3rd, 2017
Brookline Town Hall, Room 111
12:00 p.m.–1:00 p.m.
Presenter: Barbara Meltz, Former Boston Globe Parenting Columnist
Parents who grew up in different cultures often can’t know what their children are experiencing in America. They might be worried if they did, and many kids will shield their parents because they know their parents would worry. We will discuss some of the issues immigrant children encounter as they navigate life in a new country and learn ways to better communicate with the kids.
