Making Strong Readers

Parents/guardians of English learners in the district’s
ELL Program are all welcome to join! This workshop is
designed to support lower elementary school students.
Parents will receive descriptions of activities and a list of
resources to support their children's skills at home.
Presenter: Alexandra Berube, Founder of Boston Tutoring Services
This workshop will cover:
-how to increase vocabulary through a series of language-building activities
-how to recognize patterns in order to increase the speed and retention when reading and writing
-how to ask children the right questions to increase their understanding of what they read
