Topic of the Month:
Building Writing Skills at Home
Friday, February 1, 2019
12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m.
Brookline Town Hall, Room 111
Presenter: Alexander Berube, Founder of Boston Tutoring Services
In order to become a strong writer, children can benefit from learning technical skills such as handwriting and spelling, but if the student does not enjoy writing, it can be harder to acquire those skills. This seminar will cover how to improve writing through a series of fun and engaging activities that parents can do at home. These will include important aspects of writing such as purpose, tone, and narrative development. Parents will receive descriptions of activities and a list of resources to support their children's writing skills. This workshop is designed for parents of students in the lower elementary level.
Seating is limited and RSVP is required.
